Some things you will never forget. I know what I know...and that is enough. Splintered into this duality, I found my center and fused the opposites (triality). What was broken was made whole. How I truly wish all could know their own divinity. But it is not yet time. Man is still very young. And that's all well and fine too. The drama is just that...an eternal play of the idea of man upon this universal stage. We would do a disservice to jump to the end of this very long story. There are hills and valleys, crests and troughs in every life. Pain, sadness, successes and triumphs—war and peace. None are immune to the effects that all lives must live. However, few come to know themselves as cause—at least for now. Perhaps, this is man's destiny—to become purposeful in a seemingly purposeless universe. Learning to navigate the rough waters of the cosmic journey called life. To find calm in the storms of humanity. To find peace enough to divide purposefully back into motion. We are all of us learning to traverse the dark and sail peacefully in the light. Some times are for fighting and loving. One day, perhaps the loving will take precedence, but it is not now. For now, we must do both—lest our children have no chance of a loving future if we do not fight for them now. Words are meaningless without experience. The hollowness of vessels who know not life are empty. That makes them prime materia to eventually be filled with spirit. The loneliness of life, age and the world may take my body, but it will never take my mind. I am mind. There can be only one. And one day, I shall return to whence I came. . . but not yet. . . Matt welcomes Michael Tsarion to the show. Our topic of discussion centers around the Western Mystical Tradition, the self, consciousness, philosophy of idealism and psychology as answers/counter measures to modernity and a post human AI world—which is emerging. Rekindling the fires of knowledge and wisdom through such taboo subjects of study, which have all been devastated in many western nations—German Idealism, psychology, natural science, mysticism and the like have all suffered at the hands of the modern academics/architects of control who have replaced these traditions with a dogmatic focus on Darwinian/Marxist "man is a beast" left-brained modes of thinking.

It’s easier to see the Nurturer archetype in women, but make no mistake, the Nurturer has a distinct masculine expression that I feel Matt Presti embodies.
He was recently promoted to lieutenant as a firefighter, and jumping into burning buildings to save people, pets and property is about as Nurturer as you can get. It’s an archetype with huge gifts, and huge pitfalls. It’s why I’m running a training, my treat, on the Nurturer’s Pendulum Swing. You can sign up for the free training here: https://smpl.ro/al/6MK5TW6DBQrUQ2hFuQfrYwjP/51992-Matt-Presti In this interview we will talk about his career as a firefighter, how he nurtures and grows his community, and what motivates him to keep going! Musician | Philosopher | Podcaster Wisdom from the Woodpile by Matt Presti Not every one will be able to go where you go. Not everyone can. Meet them half way. That may be as far as they can reach. If you leave everyone behind, you'll find yourself alone. A good usher doesn't leave people in the dark. He helps them get to where they're going by shining a light for them to see. Going too far too fast can lead to burnout. Pace yourself. You've a long way yet to go. The finish line isn't the goal of existence. Happiness is being content with every passing moment. While it is true, every thing that lives ends in death. This is not as important as living itself. The smallest things bring the greatest joys. A single laugh, a simple smile. A tiny sip of coffee. Work a day, work away. Every moment isn't about getting closer to something. It's about learning to enjoy it as it comes and goes. Don't count time, learn to command it. Clocks and watches ironically remove you from the moment. All great works are created in a series of steps. The most complete accomplishments are made of many small and hard fought battles--both lost and won. Your own mind is your greatest asset. We set its every limit, repress it and lend it out to oppression. The 'government' isn't an external enemy, it is an internal one. Those who inflict pain on others were taught by professionals. The world is full of inflictors. Pain is their nourishment. Withhold it from them and they will starve to death. Serve it to them and they will more freely inflict it upon others. Pain and pleasure are an ouroboros. One inevitably feeds upon the other. Only love can break its cycle. Careful who you insult. Remember where you came from. You were there once too. If your future - as of yet - unspoken insult of another even slightly applied to you at some point in the past, perhaps remaining silent would be the better option. Hubris is the perfect blend of arrogance, over-confidence and ignorance. It is a bitter cup. Argument is first won within yourself. That’s where you get good at it. Reasonableness is a hard earned quality in a world of poor judgement. The poor of any kind aren’t necessarily lacking in resources, but rather will-power. Inspire them to strive above their station and watch as they surprise themselves. Will-power is like kindling under the brush. Set it on fire and watch it spread. Riches are not external. Only the poorest among us cling to that which can be hoarded. Spirit is like wind. It cannot be seen yet it flows through all worlds. The mirror is a cosmic teacher. Everyone can see a reflection of you, but only you see what needs to be improved. Do not think of yourself as great, you'll leave no room for improvement. Never take a job you can't move up in. Quitters are incapable of self-promotion. They'll likely be stuck in dead end jobs. Love yourself enough that your cup runneth over, but not so much that you develop a drinking problem. Consciousness is infinite potential. It is the only thing that can grow in absolute darkness. Live life as a prosumer. Collect your tools and get to work. Consumers feed off of other's productivity. Every day be humble. The universe doesn't revolve around you alone. We live with 8 billion simultaneous worlds. Rejoice in differences. If everyone was like you, we'd all die from boredom. See the eternal in the smallest things. There is a sun inside every blade of grass, in every wildflower and bee. Bees are most industrious creatures. They work every day and never once complain about it. Someone once said, "when a wise man and a fool argue, you can't tell the difference." If you could, which one would you be? How is it that everyone who lives off of outrage, sharing one post after another can truly say they are happy if they are what they eat (feed)? Careful the headlines you consume. Most who constantly share outrage dare not eat what they themselves have prepared. They do it for the clicks and feed it to you. A man cannot live off clicks alone. One human smile is worth a hundred thousand clicks. One kiss--a million likes. When in the wee hours of the morning should you awake, by God find a pen, write, type, speak or record. These finer moments disappear when nature wakes up with the sun. The world soon follows and the inner voice becomes harder to hear amongst the noise of the world. It is in the darkness that light shines the brightest. Shadows cannot reflect light even thought they are fed from it. There is only one "your own worst enemy." Get to know him intimately, because whether you like it or not, you're stuck with him for eternity. Wisdom is not a matter of trust, it is a matter of knowing. Is is the ability to use knowledge wisely. If everyone were wise, what would be the point of learning? We'd be in a world of know-it-alls. What a marvelous journey is life. Humble yourself at its feet, for the mountaintop is not meant to be lived upon like a hermit. What you bring down from it can feed multitudes for generations to come if you share it. Besides, it is in the valleys where all the fun takes place. That is where we rejoice in kindred spirit and toast to the glorious heavens above and within us. In the court are life's lessons and all they contain. A wealth beyond measure of both loss and gain. Dance and be merry. Sing, and make praise. Love and be loved. Let these be your days. Matt PrestiAuthentic | Inspiring | Original I don’t care how spiritual someone is or professes to be—nor if they have a million followers on X. I’m not inspired by people who always give advice. I’m not moved by those who claim to know what’s best for everybody. I’m less motivated by people who say something I’m doing isn’t going to help, or that my vote or political likings are all futile. I’m certainly not going to take anyone’s health advice in a profoundly sick world of obesity and psychic darkness. I'm not into guru worship, religion, spiritual practices, prayer or meditation—nor do I need to be saved from anything. I have no qualms with those who wish to make a living "curing" others of their dysfunctions and traumas. I don't pretend to know what's best for anybody as it is hard enough to do what's best or right for me. We all have our own lives to live and live them we must. It is a simple thing to comprehend what it is people do—rather than what they say. There are many "smart people" on the net and they all have something to sell you. But what matters to me at the end of the day, is only what they do. All the knowledge in the world is useless without the ability to use it (action). And that is what wisdom truly is—the ability to use knowledge practically. Work smarter not harder. It is rightly said, "wisdom comes with age." Just remember, everyone who gives advice, sells it, professes to know, teaches or posts anything all have one thing in common—they're all going to die—myself included. The great equalizer is death. It comes for the poet, the saint, the philosopher, the doctor, the politician, the layman, and all the kings and queens. That is the price we pay for life. ALL doctors have failed to tell you that the leading cause of death is birth. Imagine that? "No one here gets out alive." -Jim Morrison Life is the action you give to the world. And that is what people remember, not what you say, but what you do. My greatest teachers and friends have always been "doers." Action speaks louder than words and always will. Nothing touches the human heart more than the physical world. The heart itself is a physical organ—a biological drum playing the rhythmic beat of the ONE eternal Universal song—forever sounding in the deep. It is also mental and spiritual in its functions. I could talk all day about how much a hug can help you, how spiritual it is, and how much it means from a mental perspective, or I could just give you a hug straight away and let the action speak for itself. I knew a guy who could hardly write, spoke less well than most, drank too much, smoked all the time, ate like shit, wasn't the best parent, didn't know anything about a "truth seeker" movement or the like, nor could he care less. He was the best friend I ever had. He helped me do things in the physical world that no one else could do—fix my lawn mower, chainsaw, build a pond, till my gardens, mend the fence, make repairs of all kinds, help me with anything I asked. I did the same for him. It was a friendship of "being there." I learned more from him than all the truth seekers I've studied put together. I use what I've learned from him more than I use the knowledge of "who or what runs the world." He was a man of action, a simple farmer who lived a simple life. He was close to the earth, but not in some highfalutin magical way. When he passed at 57, I realized over those next few days how much he truly meant to me, his laugh and his character. Everyone I know adored him. He literally was a man who gave a friend who lost everything in a fire his own jacket off his back to help him keep warm. I even wrote a song in his honor which welled up inside of me and helped me cry tears I will never forget. My critique is this: Much of this "truth seeking movement" for "higher consciousness" is pie in the sky, up in the clouds—promising you a better "future" world if only you adopt this or that practice, denounce this or that crutch, take this or that class, watch this or that planet, or subscribe to this or that media. How about just moving? Get up and do something simple. Lend a hand to somebody. Take a walk and talk with God—just the two of you. Create. Do something with a friend—even if they don't walk the hero's path. Have tea or lunch with someone and laugh about the little things—for they are the true gold in life—imho. Don't lose touch with what is truly sacred. "Love is in the little things." -Lao Russell Humans are people too. And we can't all walk the same road to "higher consciousness," nor must we ever forget--all things are teachers. Even the least among us may turn out to be our greatest liberators.
