Order of the One - The Wholly Trail
"The Wholly Trail"
A nod to renowned psychologist Carl Gustav Jung, "The Wholly Trail" was originally inspired by drummer, Brandon Melvin who gave a drum track to guitarist Rob Kainz. Rob and bass player Matt Presti met for their first rehearsal in June of 2024 at the Gatekeeper’s Cottage on Afton Mountain in Virginia along the Blue Ridge Parkway for a week of rehearsals where this song was finalized. The first demo tracks were recorded in Cary, North Carolina at Rob’s home and rerecorded after two immense full studio upgrades—both at Rob’s and Matt’s studios, respectively. The process to reach completion of just this one song, vocals, lyrics, keys, and the hundreds of hours that went into it are but a taste of what’s to come. Several other songs are now currently in the works and more writing is forthcoming.
The title and lyrics, inspired by Jung’s “wholeness” principle factored into the song. It speaks to the transformative power of finding your “SELF” amid an ever more chaotic world. The importance of mind, body and spirit, balance as a weapon and shield against the constant barrage of propaganda, mind control, and the psychopathic construct, which uses psychology against the human race to further its own selfish ends toward world domination and overthrow of the individual pursuit of happiness. This cannot be overstated. To remain free, one must have all the power available directly from our Creator. The armor of the Spirit is all powerful and accessible to all who strive and seek for it. The knowledge of SELF opens the door to a heaven on earth and a future worth living in where new worlds are possible.
“To confront a person with his shadow is to show him his own light. Once one has experienced a few times what it is like to stand judgingly between the opposites, one begins to understand what is meant by the self. Anyone who perceives his shadow and his light simultaneously sees himself from two sides and thus gets in the middle.” ― C.G. Jung
“Wholeness is not achieved by cutting off a portion of one’s being, but by integration of the contraries.” ― C.G. Jung
“Your visions will become clear only when you can look into your own heart. Who looks outside, dreams; who looks inside, awakes.” ― C.G. Jung
“I am not what happened to me, I am what I choose to become.” ― Carl Gustav Jung
“Knowing your own darkness is the best method for dealing with the darknesses of other people.” ― Carl Gustav Jung
“There's no coming to consciousness without pain.” ― Carl Gustav Jung
“The privilege of a lifetime is to become who you truly are.” ― Carl Gustav Jung
